Yoga Props

Using restorative poses, music, breathing exercises, meditation, affirmations and visualisations you’ll enhance the relaxation experience.

This workshop is ideal if you’re experiencing physical or mental tension, stress and stress related symptoms, difficulties with sleep, or suffer from anxiety.

You’ll learn basic principles around releasing stress and old habits of body and mind.

You’ll work with the chakras, the subtle energy centres in the deep spine to aid healing.

You’ll learn to create new pathways in the brain through affirmations and visualisations.

The benefits from this workshop will last long after the workshop is over.

Here’s what you’ll do in this workshop

In this 3-hour experiential workshop you’ll:

  • Participate in gentle exercises to release tension from the body and increase the flow of energy.
  • Rest in poses to open areas of the body that store tension. You’ll be supported by pillows, cushions and bolsters to enhance the relaxation experience
  • Participate in breathing exercises that calm the breath, nervous system and the mind
  • Partake in guided meditation using sacred mantras
  • There will be time to ask questions and engage in discussion.

These are some of the scientifically proven benefits of deep relaxation:

Boosts Immunity: Deep relaxation is said to improve immunity. Stress hormones interfere with the functioning of the immune system. Deep relaxation counteracts the symptoms experienced during periods of stress.

Increases fertility: Studies have shown that women are more likely to conceive when they are relaxed rather than stressed.

Lowers bloods pressure: Studies have shown that relaxation techniques like meditation can lower blood pressure by making the body less responsive to stress hormones in a similar way to blood pressure lowering medication.

Anti-inflammatory: There is a strong link between stress and inflammation that leads to heart issues, asthma, arthritis and skin problems. Deep relaxation reduces inflammation.
