Meet the Teacher
Kavita is a serious meditator of nearly 30 years. She practices Kriya Yoga, an ancient meditation technique brought into the world by the Himalayan Yogis. Kriya Yoga works with life force or the vital energy.
As a disciple of Paramhansa Yogananda, Kavita has dedicated her life to sharing his teachings.
Paramhansa Yogananda is the author of the spiritual classic Autobiography of a Yogi.
Kavita’s teaching style is highly informal. It’s like being in the company of a good friend. She freely shares from her own experience the joys and challenges of life. Using analogies and metaphors, Kavita sheds light on the otherwise complex metaphysical concepts.
Kavita is an ordained Minister and a Lightbearer with Ananda Sangha Worldwide. She started the Narrows Retreat and also founded Ananda New Zealand.
